Bienvenido a Whatson

The world's largest reserve of Purebred Spanish horses

Pure Carthusian lineage

The oldest stud farm in the world dedicated to the Carthusian horse

With 5 centuries of history behind it and a prestige that transcends borders, the Yeguada Cartuja Hierro del Bocado is located in Jerez de la Frontera (and has facilities on a 260 hectare estate where almost 300 specimens bear witness to a past and an origin of unique blood and purity).

On the grounds of the former pasture of the 'Fuente del Suero', adjacent to the Monastery of La Cartuja in Jerez de la Frontera, one can see today, just as at the end of the 15th century, the image of the legendary purebred Spanish horses of Carthusian stock. It is the same spontaneous and majestic image that has captivated kings, painters, researchers, breeders, and poets for centuries. Species of great purity graze and grow there: those that make up the Yeguada de la Cartuja – Hierro del Bocado Stud Farm.
