Our background dates back to 1985, when a group of friends, all flamenco fans, began to meet once a week at the Lo Cea Bar Restaurant to talk about flamenco, and sporadically, we would hire a friend of singers and guitarists to liven up these gatherings After a few months, we dared to organize a dinner at the aforementioned establishment.

In 1987, already in a more organized way, we began to give these meetings the form and structure of an association. We looked for a name and decided on Rafael Flores Nieto "El Piyayo", due to the fact that he is from Malaga, for having created a very peculiar style and because for a time he was linked to a gypsy from Rincón de la Victoria.
