The Torremolinos Drag Queen Gala takes place during the Torremolinos Carnival, one of the busiest weekends of the year.
Think of the event as a mix of part festival and part vogue ball! There are three prizes ranging from €1,200 to €300. Each drag act has 5 minutes to perform and surprise the audience.
The event is organized by the Association of Gay Merchants of Torremolinos (Acogat) with the collaboration of the City Council.
The jury, made up of professionals related to the fashion industry in Torremolinos, will select the winners based on originality, imagination and the ease and grace with which the drag queen is able to walk in her outfit.
The winner will be crowned Drag Queen 2024 and will participate in the Pride parade in June.
Last year's event, which attracted more than 4,000 people, featured some of the most eye-catching costumes imaginable and this year promises to be just as spectacular.
The lacquered wigs, striking makeup, ostentatious costumes and fast, cheeky humor are sure to make this a night to remember.

Torremolinos Gala Drag Queen is one of several events that take place during the carnival festivities.
At 8 a.m. the event will begin in the Príncipe de Asturias Auditorium, one of the largest auditoriums in Andalusia.
Admission is free: doors open at 7 pm, show starts at 8. The venue has a bar and fills up quickly. Arrives early. The venue has a capacity of approximately 1,700.
The place is 3 minutes by taxi or 15 minutes walk from the gay district.
